Rocky’s Boutique Resort

This is one of the most popular resorts in Koh Samui and have done a number of spectacular weddings over the years. The resort has a very good reputation in Thailand as a wedding venue in Samui. The resort has 3 private beaches and is situated against a cliff with really spectacular views of the villages and beach below. They have made extensive use of hand crafted artwork and all of this has been done with taste and in traditional Thai artwork. The resort has also been rated very high by Trip Advisor and was a 2013 Winner for Best Boutique Resort.

Zazen Boutique Resort

The Zazen resort is another resort which caters to great weddings in Koh Samui. This and their venues on offer for your wedding is also very good. The wedding resort in Koh Samui is close to a secluded beach. The area where they perform the weddings are covered with double layered thatched roof. This and the ceilings and floors made out of teak wood from Thailand, while the four corner pillars carry Thai silk curtains. If you are looking for great photos of your marriage in a tropical paradise. Then it is best to book this place just before sunset for your wedding. You will not be disappointed with the photos.

Sareeraya Resort

This is a lesser known wedding venue in Koh Samui. They are not marketed well however they do provide you with options for you wedding. Not as grandiose as the other two resorts described above. But still very good and with its North-Eastern location on Samui it does also offer good photo ops at sunset. Likewise see the Gay Marriage in Thailand as well as Thai Dowry article.

Note that when you get married at any of the resorts that these marriages are not legally binding. They only serve as the ceremony of the wedding. You will still have to register your marriage in Thailand or at home after the ceremony. For this reason you don’t need to show a letter of affirmation or for that matter any legal papers for your wedding ceremony. Most foreigners merely use these resorts for the ceremony. This and the breath-taking views for their honeymoon before they legally register the wedding in Thailand or in their home country. Note also the Phuket wedding locations listed on this website.
